“Not long after midnight, a fire broke out. A team of fire brigade workers, four water engines, many jumbo tankers, and other equipment arrived to the scene after being notified of the fire and began the firefighting operation, according to a fire brigade official.
The 12-story building’s ground level saw the beginning of the fire, which was contained to the electrical wires and storage of scrap metal. ‘Level one’ (small) fire was what it was. Residents began to fear as the flames advanced and the building was enveloped in smoke, the official said.
By 1.45 am, according to him, the fire department workers had turned off the power and put out the flames.
The fire brigade personnel used the stairs to rescue between fifty and sixty occupants who were trapped on various levels of the property. 39 of the people who were rescued from the smoke complained of suffocation, and 35 of them were brought to the Rajawadi Hospital, which is operated by the local government, while four others were transported to Kohinoor Hospital, the official added.
