According to ANI, on Friday night at the Hill Line Police Station in Ulhasnagar, Maharashtra, BJP MLA Ganpat Gaikwad allegedly opened fire on Mahesh Gaikwad, the leader of the Shiv Sena (including the Eknath Shinde faction).
Five bullets were fired, according to reports, and Gaikwad and a supporter both sustained injuries. Ganpat Gaikwad, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Legislative Assembly, and Mahesh Gaikwad, the chief of the city, were having a talk at the police station when the incident took place. Senior inspector Anil Jagtap was present.
The leader of the Shiv Sena has sustained severe injuries as a result of the incident, and he is currently being provided medical care at the Jupiter hospital in Thane.
According to the statement, “Mahesh Gaikwad and Ganpat Gaikwad came to the police station to lodge a complaint because they had disagreements regarding something.” During that time, they engaged in conversation, and Ganpat Gaikwad opened fire on Mahesh Gaikwad and his followers. This has resulted in the injuries of two individuals. We are currently conducting an investigation,” stated Sudhakar Pathare, the DCP.
While this was going on, Anand Dubey, the head of the Shiv Sena (UBT), launched an attack against the state government and stated, “This firing has taken place inside the police station.” The person who opened fire was Ganpat Gaikwad, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), while Mahesh Gaikwad, the leader of the Shiv Sena Shinde Faction, was the one who was shot at. It is a terrible misfortune that a Member of Legislative Assembly who is responsible for the welfare of lakhs of people is shooting people. In a government with three engines, the leaders of two different parties are engaged in a violent conflict and are attempting to kill each other.
