BJP leader Nilesh Rane has given a controversial statement regarding NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, which has created a ruckus in the politics of Maharashtra. Comparing Sharad Pawar with Aurangzeb, Rane has said that he is the reincarnation of Aurangzeb. NCP has strongly opposed this. On Friday, party workers and leaders are also doing “Jail Bharo Andolan” at Azad Maidan in Mumbai today.
BJP leader and former MP Nilesh Rane tweeted in Marathi language and wrote that Sharad Pawar gets worried for the Muslim society as the elections approaches. Sometimes it seems that Sharad Pawar is the reincarnation of Aurangzeb.
After the uproar in Kolhapur, NCP chief Sharad Pawar had said that the situation is such that we should worry about the people of Muslim and Christian religion. A few days ago, there was a ruckus in Kolhapur on behalf of some Muslim youths in Maharashtra putting pictures of Aurangzeb and Tipu Sultan on status, for which Hindutva organizations took out a protest march. In view of the situation of stone pelting and violence at many places, the police resorted to lathi charge and so far 36 people have been arrested in this case.
Sharad Pawar had claimed that some minor issues in the state were being given a ‘religious colour’. “The rulers are responsible for maintaining law and order in the state… If the ruling party and their people take it on the streets and create a rift between the two religions, it is not a good sign,” he said.
