Niranjan Hiremath, the father of Neha Hiremath, who was murdered in Karnataka’s Hubballi, demanded a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation, or CBI, alleging that the police were trying to “divert” the case.
According to news agency ANI, Niranjan Hiremath, a Congress councilor for Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation, has requested the removal of the police commissioner overseeing the case due to suspected “negligence.”
“I’ve publicly disclosed the names of eight people. Not even a single individual has been apprehended. I’m starting to lose hope. They’re attempting to sidetrack me. If you are unable to accomplish it, turn it over to the CBI. Even though the commissioner in this instance is a woman, she does not take the murder of a girl seriously. She has some pressure on her as she works. I insist that the commissioner be moved because of their negligence in this matter. I insist that the CBI be assigned the matter,” Niranjan Hiremath was cited by ANI on Sunday.
In response to Niranjan Hiremath’s concerns, Amit Malviya, the chairman of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s IT unit, accused the Karnataka Congress administration of being “soft and slow” in their response to the “killer(s)”.
“Niranjan Hiremath, the father of Neha Hiremath, who was fatally stabbed by Fayaz, has not received a visit from any Congress leader.” The defenceless father now accuses the Congress government in Karnataka of being lenient and tardy in dealing with the murderer(s) of his daughter. Not only is their daughter’s murder a tragedy, but the family also has to deal with Congress’s politics of appeasement. When will Neha receive justice? Amit Malviya on X (formal social media).
Political controversy has resulted from the death of Karnataka college student Neha Hiremath, who was killed by her former classmate Fayaz Khondunaik. The BJP has called the killing a “love jihad” case, while the Congress has refuted the claim. Protests throughout Karnataka have resulted from calls for the accused, Fayaz, to face the death penalty.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and State Home Minister G Parameshwara, according to BJP President JP Nadda, “influenced and diluted” the Neha Hiremath murder probe. On April 18, Neha was fatally stabbed by Fayaz on the grounds of BVB College. Examine what Parameshwara and Siddaramaiah have to say. Call it an accident, or just a typical episode, according to some. Your goal is to sway and weaken the inquiry. Speaking at a public forum in Hubballi, JP Nadda claimed that, because of your appeasement politics, you lack the guts to call a spade a spade.
The Congress government’s response alarmed former Karnataka chief minister and BJP leader BS Yediyurappa, who said earlier on Sunday that “the state government is not bothered about anything.” They don’t consider it to be important.
