Naveen Patnaik, the chief minister of Odisha, spoke with members of the Gen Next Democracy Network on Saturday. Gen Next Democracy Network is an initiative of the Indian Council of Cultural Relations. The group is now in Odisha as part of a 10-day trip around India. According to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office, Patnaik discussed the wonderful art, architecture, culture, and tradition of Odisha, the state’s natural resources, and the transition that has been occurring over the last few years.
In the convention centre at Lok Seva Bhawan, representatives from eight nations—Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Croatia, Guyana, Mongolia, Portugal, and South Africa—met with the CM. Members from 75 nations are travelling to India for the programme that the ICCR is organising to celebrate India’s 75th anniversary of independence. In order to learn more about the state and the democratic system, the delegates visited Konark, Harirajpur, the State Museum, the Maritime Museum, and the Odisha Assembly, according to Additional Chief Secretary Satyabrata Sahu.
Moreover, Patnaik engaged with ministers, lawmakers, policy analysts, and ambassadors from 14 other nations.
The convention centre hosted the gathering. The CM said that India is a democratic, secular country with a 75-year history of a thriving democratic heritage.
