Devendra Fadnavis, the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, departed for Japan on Sunday night after accepting an invitation to visit as a state guest.
Fadnavis will participate in meetings and investment discussions during his five-day visit to Japan in an effort to draw foreign direct investment (FDI) to Maharashtra, according to authorities.
Fadnavis will see the nation’s renowned bullet train system and Tokyo Metro operations, they said. He will be joined by representatives from the state industries department and MMRDA.
