Former Maharashtra Minister and Leader of Opposition Ajit Pawar has raised serious questions regarding the train accident in Odisha. He said that this is an unfortunate incident. The railway department should investigate this and take action against those who are guilty. Railways should give importance to the lives of the passengers. He said that earlier when such railway accidents happen, then the Railway Minister used to resign in such situations.
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) senior leader and Leader of Opposition Ajit Pawar, who reached Nagpur in connection with a program, said that the incident in Odisha is very sad. Many innocent people have lost their lives in this while we are running trains like Vande Bharat. Such a big accident has never happened before. We have seen that earlier when there were railway accidents, the railway minister used to resign, this is the history of India, but now no one is talking about it. I would only say that whatever people have lost their lives, may God give them the ability to bear this sorrow for their families.
Significantly, a terrible accident occurred after two trains collided with a goods train after derailment in Balasore, Odisha. So far 288 people have died in this accident, while more than 1000 people are injured, and are undergoing treatment. The condition of many of the injured is also serious.
