US President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a meeting outside the G20 Summit, which will begin tomorrow in the nation’s capital. The two world leaders spoke on a variety of topics and steps to strengthen the bilateral ties between New Delhi and Washington, DC.
PM Modi announced the “productive meeting” on the microblogging website X (previously Twitter), claiming that “numerous topics” were covered.
“Delighted to have @POTUS @JoeBiden visit 7, Lok Kalyan Marg. Our meeting was quite beneficial. We had the chance to talk about several issues that would strengthen the ties between the US and India on the economic and interpersonal fronts. The prime minister added, “The relationship between our countries will continue to play a significant role in advancing the common good.
The two leaders praised continuing momentum in iCET, defense, space, and other fields, as well as the implementation of results from the Indian prime minister’s historic state visit to the US.
In appreciation for the US’ ongoing support of India’s G20 Presidency, PM Modi thanked President Biden.
He expressed his gratitude for President Biden’s commitment to furthering the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership, which is built on shared democratic ideals, strategic alignments, and close inter-personal relationships.
The two world leaders also praised the ongoing momentum of their countries’ bilateral connections in the fields of defense, commerce, investment, health, education, research, and cultural exchanges.
In the meanwhile, President Biden expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Modi and the people of India on Chandrayaan-3’s historic landing close to the lunar south pole and emphasized the two nations’ expanding space collaboration.
The two leaders also discussed a variety of local and international concerns.
On September 9–10, 2023, President Biden will attend the G20 Summit in New Delhi.He is making his first trip to India as the president of the United States.
