Railway administration has decided to reserve two unreserved coaches of second class chair cars of Sinhagad Express running between Pune-Mumbai for Pimpri and Chinchwad. The availability of separate coaches for the passengers of Pimpri and Chinchwad will help in avoiding overcrowding. Incidents of fighting in Sinhagad Express had increased. Old and new pass holders were constantly arguing over seating. Therefore, Sinhagad Express was extended by one coach as per the demand of passengers a month ago. But, it was not made clear for whom it was reserved.
Before the extension, only one coach was reserved for Pimpri-Chinchwad. However, now from June 11, there will be a separate coach for Pimpri-Chinchwad. D-7 (eighth coach from engine) for Pimpri and D-8 (ninth coach from engine) for Chinchwad station. No change has been made in the remaining coaches at Khadki, Shivajinagar and Lonavla. The railway administration has appealed to the passengers to take advantage of this facility.
Thousands of Punekars travel between Mumbai and Pune every day. Sinhagad Express, Intercity Express, Pragati Express and Deccan Express depart from Pune to Mumbai. In the past few days, there have been incidents of fights between passengers traveling by Sinhagad Express. Because of that, a new question had arisen in front of the railway administration. Railway administration has taken a big decision for Pimpri and Chinchwadkar. It has been said that two unreserved coaches will be reserved for passengers traveling from Pimpri and Chinchwad in the Sinhagad Express departing from Pune.
Passengers from Pimpri and Chinchwad could not get seats in Sinhagad Express departing from Pune due to crowding of passengers from Pune. Due to this, there was a controversy. Now railway department has given D-7 coach of Sinhagad Express for Pimpri and D-8 coach for Chinchwad passengers. So, no change has been made regarding the coaches at Khadki, Shivajinagar Lonavla.
