After Sri Lanka defeated Bangladesh by five wickets in the Asia Cup on Thursday, skipper Dasun Shanaka praised his bowlers.
With four wickets, pace bowler Matheesha Pathirana was the best of the Sri Lankan bowlers. Bangladesh chose to bat and finished with a pitiful 164.
The home team subsequently overcame the mark in 39 overs thanks to Sadeera Samarawickrama’s 54 off 77 balls and Charith Asalanka’s undefeated 62 off 92 balls.
