Not only this, apart from PM Modi, CM Eknath Shinde, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar were present on the same stage. At the same time, politics has started regarding this program. Shiv Sena’s (UBT) mouthpiece ‘Saamana’ claimed in an editorial that PM Modi accused the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) of corruption and then caused a split in the party and spoiled Maharashtra politics. Some people have doubts about Sharad Pawar and there was a good chance to answer such doubts, he could have stayed away from this program but he welcomed PM Modi which some people did not like.
Saamana states that had Sharad Pawar stayed away from PM Modi’s program in protest against the split in the NCP, his courage would have been appreciated. Also further said that the country is fighting against dictatorship and for this purpose INDIA alliance consisting of 26 opposition parties has been formed and Sharad Pawar is the leading general of the alliance. It has been said in Saamana that people have high expectations from a senior leader like Sharad Pawar.
Further targeting PM Modi, it has been said that PM Modi is not ready to speak on the violence in Manipur and it is not in the national interest for the country’s leader not to speak on this issue. Protests are taking place in Pune against the Prime Minister and NCP workers are participating in it.
