The National Democratic Alliance, which is headed by the BJP, issued a stinging retaliation against opposition parties on Wednesday for their choice to skip the opening of the new Parliament building, denouncing their attitude as a “blatant affront to democratic ethos and constitutional values of our great nation.” The NDA coalition, headed by the BJP, is expected to be represented by around 15 parties at the event.
Leaders of 14 members of the governing coalition pleaded with the opposition parties to change their minds in a statement, warning that if they persist, the Indian people would not forget their “egregious insult to our democracy and to their elected representatives.”
The following parties will be present at the event:
Janata Biju Dal
Such topics may always be discussed later in the August house, according to a statement from Biju Janata Dal, the party of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Therefore, the BJD will take part in this historic event. The announcement said, “The Head of the Indian State is the President of India. The 1.4 billion Indians that make up the Parliament are represented. Both organizations derive their power from the Indian Constitution and are emblems of Indian democracy. It is important to protect their status and power.
