With the most recent Vande Bharat trains, which will improve connection between Rajasthan and Gujarat since they would finish the route in six hours and 10 minutes, tourist attractions including Jodhpur, Mt. Abu, Palanpur, and Sabarmati will now be linked.
Up till now, the quickest trains took almost eight hours to go between Jodhpur and Sabarmati. The prime minister will officially launch the Vande Bharat train on Friday, and commercial trips will begin on Sunday.
This is Gujarat’s and Rajasthan’s second Vande Bharat. The inaugural Vande Bharat between Ajmer and Delhi was run in April in election-bound Rajasthan. In September 2022, the first Vande Bharat for Gujarat, India’s third semi-high speed, was launched.
Officials from the ministry claim that Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat would enhance the region’s socioeconomic growth and connection to well-known locations like Jodhpur, Abu Road, and Ahmedabad.
“There is a lot of mobility between the two areas. In both directions, the train will stop at the stations of Mahesana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Falna, and Pali Marwar. This Vande Bharat would make traveling easier for both tourists and business travelers, the spokesman added.
They said, “The next regularly fastest train on the route is the Surya Nagari, which departs from Jodhpur, takes 7 hours and 50 minutes, is nearly always packed, and runs every day of the week.” Three air conditioners cost Rs. 790 each, whereas the first air conditioner costs Rs. 1,100.
Daily service between the two stations is also provided by the Jammu-originating Jat Adi Express, which takes seven hours and forty minutes to complete. The second AC costs Rs 1,035 and the third costs Rs 730. There is no first AC class on this train.
With the exception of Tuesdays, the eight-coach Vande Bharat will operate six days a week. The train will include 39 executive class seats and 405 chair cars. Between Jodhpur and Sabarmati, a chair car seat will cost Rs. 1,115, while an executive class seat will cost Rs. 2,130. The Vande Bharat’s executive class will be more expensive than the first AC trip on the route.
At 5.55 am, Vande Bharat train 12461 will leave Jodhpur and arrive in Ahmedabad (Sabarmati) at 12.05 pm. Train 12462 will leave Ahmedabad (Sabarmati) for Jodhpur on the return trip at 4.45 p.m. and arrive there at 10.55 p.m.
Although Rajdhani will still be the quickest train on the Abu Road-Sabarmati section of the route, this train will be the fastest on the Jodhpur-Sabarmati route. Rajdhani can only go the distance in two hours and 36 minutes, while Vande Bharat would need two hours and 55 minutes.
There are now 23 Vande Bharats running in India.
