During a roadshow in Mumbai, Uttarakhand’s Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami, met with filmmakers, producers, and performers from the film industry.
The Chief Minister invited the film industry to take part in the Global Investor Summit, which will take place in Dehradun on December 8–9. Prominent members of the film industry, including Jeetendra, Vivek Agnihotri, Archana Puran Singh, Himani Shivpuri, Ramesh Taurani, Rahul Rawail, and others, attended the meeting with Dhami.
Participants made recommendations during discussions on Uttarakhand’s film industry’s potential. Chief Minister Dhami emphasized Uttarakhand’s scenic locales, saying the state is a perfect backdrop for films since it has stunning areas like Nainital, Mussoorie, Auli, and more. He also spoke on the state’s housing situation, increased connectivity, and the emergence of new filming locations.
Dhami mentioned the Adi Kailash Yatra, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as a reason for the increase in tourism in Uttarakhand’s high Himalayan regions. He emphasized the state government’s efforts to foster an atmosphere that is favorable for filming in Uttarakhand as well as its support for filmmakers.
Filmmakers conveyed their gratitude to the state government for their aid during shooting; director Vivek Agnihotri acknowledged the government, police, and administration for their cooperation during “The Kashmir Files” production.
The event showed a strong desire to film in Uttarakhand, and the state government’s programs, such as the Service Sector Policy and the Film Policy, are intended to support the media and film industry in the area.
