According to the police, four people, including a child, have been detained for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl in Thane, Maharashtra.
The suspects have reportedly been identified by the police as Sahil Rajbhar (18), Sujal Gavati (20), Vijay Bera (21) and a child. According to officials, the victim’s parents called the police and reported the crime. After that, a case was filed at the Kolsewadi police station in Thane.
In describing the occurrence, they stated: “The victim’s relatives had complained that her daughter had vanished a few days before. We began looking for the girl right away based on the complaint.
“The girl came back to her home after two days, and after returning, the victim informed her family members about the gang rape,” the victim’s parents said in a police report.
“The victim said that she met the Ulhasnagar-based accused via social media. According to police, the accused sent her a message explaining that his female friend and the victim had a quarrel and invited her to visit his home to resolve the matter.
They said that once the victim got to the accused’s residence, he brought her to his friend’s house and raped her there.
They said, “The accused called his three other friends and sexually assaulted the minor girl the following day as well.”
Within 24 hours of receiving the allegation, the police took immediate action and detained all four suspects.
According to the police, a complaint has been filed under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and section 376(D) of the Indian Penal Code.
The accused were brought before the judge, who sentenced three of them to five days in jail and one kid to a juvenile treatment facility, according to the police.
