The appointment of Neera Tanden, an Indian-American, as Joe Biden’s domestic policy advisor on Friday will assist him in developing and carrying out his domestic policy agenda.
From economic mobility and racial fairness to health care, immigration, and education, Neera Tanden will continue to lead the development and execution of my domestic policies, Biden stated.
Tanden is now Biden’s domestic policy advisor in lieu of Susan Rice.
Tanden will oversee any of the three key White House policy councils for the first time in history, according to Biden.
“Neera managed decision-making processes across my domestic, economic, and national security teams as Senior Advisor and Staff Secretary. She has 25 years of expertise in public policy, has worked for three presidents, and over the course of almost ten years, she ran one of the biggest think tanks in the nation, according to Biden.
“She played a crucial role in the creation of the Affordable Care Act and supported important domestic initiatives that later became a part of my platform, such as renewable energy subsidies and reasonable gun control measures. Neera grew up relying on some of the crucial initiatives she will be in charge of as the Domestic Policy Advisor, and I am certain that her experiences will benefit my Administration and the American people. I’m excited to collaborate closely with Neera in her new position, he remarked.
Tanden tweeted after learning the information. “I look forward to the Biden Harris Administration’s significant work. My Twitter handle is @NeeraTanden46. a lot of work to do!”
