During his visit to the capital of Mozambique on Thursday, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar rode in a “Made in India” train and spoke with the Mozambican Transport Minister about India’s partnership in assisting with the expansion of the train networks’ electric mobility and waterways connectivity.
During his three-day visit, Jaishankar landed in the Mozambiquen capital on Thursday. He met with the parliament’s head to further their mutual collaboration.
It is the first time an Indian minister of foreign affairs has ever visited Mozambique, and he will be there from April 13 to 15.
“A wonderful discussion on green transportation with Mateus Magala, Head of the Mozambican Port and Rail Authority and Minister of Transport and Communications of Mozambique. discussed the expansion of rail networks, electric transportation, and connection of the waterways. In this aspect, India is a trustworthy partner, he tweeted.
He rode a railway that was made in India as well.

He also visited a temple and mingled with the Indian community.

Jaishankar traveled from Uganda to Maputo where he met with Yoweri Museveni and other key officials to explore potential collaboration in the fields of commerce, infrastructure, energy, and defense.
