Kashmir and Jammu The next of kin of people died in traffic accidents in the districts of Doda and Ramban would get an ex-gratia of Rs. 5 lakh, according to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s announcement on Tuesday.
According to the police, three different events involving three cars Tuesday in the two districts resulted in eight fatalities and 17 injuries.
The LG announced ex-gratia payments of Rs. 5 lakh to each dead person’s next-of-kin and Rs. 50,000 to each accident victim.
Sinha expressed sorrow for the deaths caused by the tragic traffic incidents.
