On Wednesday, an accident involving a bus owned by the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) occurred on the ghats close to Saptashrungi Fort in the Nashik district, leaving one lady dead and 19 others injured. The private luxury bus they were riding in collided with a trailer truck on the Samruddhi Expressway in the early hours of Wednesday in Maharashtra’s Aurangabad district, injuring around 22 passengers, four of whom were critically.
Two weeks after a terrible accident in Buldhana that claimed 25 lives, there has been another significant accident on the Samruddhi Expressway.
INJURY ON A BUS IN NASHIK
According to local media accounts, the MSRTC bus in Nashik was transporting around 35 passengers when the tragedy occurred. According to the official, the event happened at roughly 5.45 am close to a Ganesh temple at Vani on the Saptashrungi Garh ghat area in Kalwan taluka.
The wounded people, along with the driver, have been taken into a state-run medical facility. Disha Vajrani (age 51), Anjali Jumare (age 43), Atul Jumare (age 41), Bhavesh Vajrani (age 25), and Shaikh Yunus (age 34) are a few of the wounded passengers.
The MSRTC bus arrived in Saptashrungi Garh on Tuesday evening from Khamgaon in the Buldhana district. On Wednesday morning while the bus was returning, the driver lost control, and the bus plunged 150 feet into a canyon, according to the official.
He said that after locals, law enforcement, and other organizations arrived to the scene, rescue and search activities were initiated.
According to him, the collision resulted in the death of a lady and the injury of 19, including the bus driver and conductor.
According to sources, district guardian minister Dada Bhuse was his route to the scene of the collision.
SAMRUDDHI EXPRESSWAY ACCIDENT
An official said that the incident on the high-speed road between Mumbai and Nagpur happened about 2.30 am in the neighborhood near Phulambri.
According to him, the trailer truck with steel was traveling from Jalna to Surat, while the private bus was traveling from Nagpur to Pune.
The bus’s driver lost control of the motor vehicle and drove it into the trailer truck’s back side. He said that at least 22 of the bus’s passengers were hurt.
Four of the wounded are receiving treatment at a private hospital and are in severe condition. The remainder, he claimed, were sent to a government-run hospital in Aurangabad.
The incident occurred only a few days after a private bus carrying 25 people caught fire and burned to death after colliding with a divider on the Samruddhi Expressway in the Buldhana region of eastern Maharashtra.
