Three minor boys drowned in Mumbai’s Marve Creek on Sunday, after whose search the bodies of two boys were recovered on Monday. At the same time, the search for the third boy is still going on. Local authorities have informed about this.
Five boys, aged between 12 and 16, from Malwani area drowned in Marve Creek in suburban Malad on Sunday morning. Although the people present there somehow saved two boys, but three boys went missing. After this, the entire incident was informed to the police.
As soon as information was received about the matter, divers from the police and fire brigade, coast guard and navy reached the spot and started a search operation. However, the rescue operation had to be stopped on Sunday night. A helicopter was also involved in the search operation, which was called off in the evening.
The bodies of two of the missing boys, aged 14, were retrieved from the water on Monday morning and sent to the hospital, the police officer said. He said efforts were on to trace another missing 12-year-old boy.
