In the digital era, the number of cyber crimes and criminals is increasing day by day. In today’s time, almost everyone must have faced the problem of cyber crime. Sometimes there are cases of asking for money by creating fake names on social media or voting through fake accounts. Such cases are being seen every day in the name of which fraud is being done. A similar case has been seen in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Here cyber criminals have now started adopting the tactics of cheating by creating fake profiles in the name of reputed and IPS rank officers of Maharashtra.
A fake Facebook account has also been created in the name of Nagpur City Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar. Through this account, cyber criminals were demanding money from the friends of the Police Commissioner. In this case, the police have arrested three accused of cyber fraud group from Rajasthan. These accused have now been brought to Nagpur who used to carry out cyber fraud incidents at the interstate level. Let us tell you that earlier in the year 2021 and July 2023, cyber criminals had created fake Facebook profile of Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar. Even at that time the criminals demanded money.
After receiving the complaint of the recent case, when the police investigated the matter, they found the whereabouts of the accused in Rajasthan. Nagpur Police team reached Alwar, Rajasthan and arrested three accused Surendra Pritam Singh, Tausif Khan, Sampat Ram from there. Let us tell you that this is not the first time that an incident of fraud has been carried out through Facebook profile. This has become common in today’s times. Almost everyone must have received some such messages from cyber criminals. However, many times people get trapped in this fraud and lose their money.
