A case of cheating people by making fake IDs in the name of a company has come to light in Thane, Maharashtra. After the disclosure of the case, the police have registered the case and started the investigation. According to the information received, an unknown person created a fake website and email ID of a private pharma company and started asking people for money in its name.
The accused used to demand money in exchange for giving the franchisee of the company to the people. In exchange for this money, people were offered to use the company’s name, its CEO and founder’s photos and videos. A case has been registered in this regard at Naupada police station in Thane. The company management came to know about this fraud when the accused sent a message to an employee of the company offering to give the franchise of the company. The employee of the company complained about this to the company management and after that the company complained to the police.
The police have registered a case against an unknown person and started investigation. Police have registered a case under section 420 of IPC and IT Act in this matter. So far no one has been arrested in this case.
