Road accidents are increasing day by day in Goa. The latest incident took place on Saturday night near Panaji in North Goa district, where a speeding car rammed into a tree. Three people died on the spot in this accident. Meanwhile, two other people were injured. There were five people in the car. The police officer gave this information on Sunday.
According to the police officer, the car was traveling from Panaji to Mapusa on a highway in Porvorim area when the incident took place. Two men and a woman traveling in the car died on the spot, while two other women were seriously injured. The injured have been admitted to the Goa Medical College and Hospital at Bambolim near here, the official said.
It is noteworthy that in January this year, a horrific road accident took place on the Mumbai-Goa highway. 9 people died tragically in a car and truck collision. Three women were also included in the dead. The incident took place at Repoli in Mangaon, Raigarh.
The road accident was so severe that the car was blown away. As soon as the truck and car collided head-on, the car was completely damaged and the occupants died on the spot. According to the police officer, the dead include a girl child, three women and five men. He said that after getting the information, the police reached the spot and started the rescue operation.
