Pune: In terms of foreign direct investment coming to India from foreign companies, it is clear that the highest foreign investment has been made in Maharashtra in the last year. With a total investment of Rs 1 lakh 18 thousand 422 crore by foreign companies in the state, Maharashtra has overtaken Gujarat and Karnataka in terms of foreign investment in the last year. Compared to the financial year 2021-22, the foreign investment in the state has increased by four thousand crore rupees.
The Central Government’s Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has recently released the foreign investment statistics, in which Maharashtra has topped the list in the financial year 2022-23. An investment of Rs 1 lakh 18 thousand 422 crores has been made in the state in the last financial year. In various districts of the state, it has been seen that the highest investment has been made in the sectors of services, automobiles, computer software, hardware, telecommunications, construction, pharmaceuticals, chemicals.
It is clear from the data released by ‘DPIIT’ that USA, Japan, Mauritius, Netherlands, England, Germany, United Arab Emirates, Singapore invested the most in the country and Maharashtra last year.
