Ajit Pawar has fielded all his 9 ministers and Praful Patel to counter Sharad Pawar’s yatra. All of them have been entrusted with the responsibility of all the 36 districts of Maharashtra. Every minister will work to strengthen the organization in 3-4 districts.
Ajit Pawar himself has handled the responsibility of Pune, Satara, Sangli and Solapur districts. At the same time, Praful Patel has been given the charge of Nagpur, Amravati, Bhandara and Gondia districts. All ministers have been asked to submit their status reports at regular intervals to NCP state president Sunil Tatkare.
Sharad Pawar has started a statewide yatra from August 17 to revive the party. Pawar’s aim is to show strength by going to the areas of rebel NCP MLAs. That’s why Pawar first went to the constituency of Ajit faction MLA Dhananjay Munde and held a rally in Beed.
Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar had a secret meeting at a businessman’s house in Pune. After this meeting, many speculations were started in the politics of Maharashtra. However, Sharad Pawar later made it clear that he had met Ajit because of family ties. Sharad Pawar had said that he will never support whoever supports the BJP.
