Four MPs have accused Raghav Chadha of violating the rules and proposing their names for the formation of the selection committee without their consent. On this, the AAP MP said that the BJP is trying to suppress his voice. Union Minister Ramdas Athawale’s statement has now come to the fore on Raghav Chadha’s statement. He said that the government has absolutely no right to end anyone’s membership. This right belongs to the Secretary of the Parliament. The Secretary of Parliament has the right to punish or cancel the membership of those who do wrong things of the rules.
Ramdas Athawale said that till date many MPs had been disqualified but later they have come to the Parliament after getting clearance from the court. NCP’s Lakshadweep MP Faizal came to the Parliament. Rahul Gandhi was also disqualified and later came to Parliament. In such a situation, the intention of the government is not like this at all. There is absolutely no facts in the allegation of Raghav Chadha. The chair has the right to take action against those who do wrong things or always create ruckus. You should correct your behavior, it is not right to create ruckus everyday.
Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar, referring to the complaints of those MPs, sent it to the Committee of Privileges to investigate the matter. The AAP MP said that it is being wrongly propagated that signatures and written consent are required for nomination of members of the selection committee in Rajya Sabha.
Raghav Chadha said, “I will approach the Committee of Privileges and the court against those Lok Sabha members of BJP who have leveled false allegation of forgery against me.” does, the said person does not make a public statement. But due to compulsion I have to speak. I will not speak against the Honorable Chairman or the Committee of Privileges.”
