Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar may be playing a key role in the opposition’s national alliance I.N.D.I.A. to stop the BJP in 2024, but close friend and industrialist Cyrus Poonawalla has advised him to leave politics. While talking to the media, Poonawalla, who is called the Vaccine King of India, first congratulated ISRO scientists for the successful landing of Chandrayaan 3. In response to the question asked about Sharad Pawar, he said that he is a very smart man. He could have rendered great service to the nation. Poonawalla said that now he is very old, he should retire.
Serum Institute Chairman Cyrus Poonawalla was talking to the media. When suddenly he was asked a question about NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, he was shocked. He said this is a political question. After this he said about Sharad Pawar that I want to tell Sharad Pawar that he had the opportunity to become Prime Minister twice, which he lost. He is an intelligent person, could have done great service to the nation. Now he has grown old and should retire. Sharad Pawar, who has played a long innings of six decades in politics, had last month refused to retire after being taunted by his nephew Ajit Pawar. Then Sharad Pawar, reiterating the words of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, had said that he is neither tired nor retired.
When asked about Ajit’s comment, Sharad Pawar had said, do you know at what age Morarji Desai became Prime Minister? However, Pawar had said that I do not want to become Prime Minister or Minister, but want to serve the people. Ajit Pawar had said in his comment that at the age of 83, the time has come for his uncle to retire. NCP chief Sharad Pawar has been advised retirement this time by his friend Cyrus Poonawalla. Along with this, he has also added that he can become PM twice. He missed both the opportunities.
