Mahesh Tenginkai, a BJP candidate for the Hubballi Dharwad Central Assembly Seat in Karnataka, attacked the Congress on Thursday for its criticism of BJP leader JP Nadda and said that the grand old party is “infamous for its falsehoods” and dividing society.
Tenginkai’s response came after Congressman Siddaramaiah criticised JP Nadda for saying that “Karnataka should not be bereft of Modi Ji’s blessings” at a rally for voters on Wednesday in Shiggaon. “I implore you all to ensure that the BJP and the ‘Lotus’ triumph! Modi Ji’s blessings should not be withheld from Karnataka, nor should it ever fall behind in the fight for progress. You all must make sure of this by just selecting “Lotus,” Nadda had said.
Siddaramaiah and Jairam Ramesh, criticising the BJP leader, said that PM Modi is not God and cannot bestow blessings on anybody.
“In a democracy, the electorate choose the candidates and the representatives who will represent them. To bless anybody, @narendramodi is not God. I reject @JPNadda’s claim that @narendramodi has blessed Karnataka. It seems that he needs instruction in democracy. According to the Constitution, each state is equal and has the same rights. Dictatorship has no place in a democratic society, he said.
The BJP leaders, according to Congressman Jairam Ramesh, are “desperate.”
“The PM and his troops are now driven by desperation. This hopelessness is reflected in Naddaji. Once reality sets in, expect more of these assertions, he tweeted.
BJP Hubballi Dharwad Central Assembly candidate Mahesh Tenginkai, who took Jagadish Shettar’s position on the seat, attacked both leaders, claiming that they constantly speak falsehoods and are “disruptive forces” in society.
Congress has a reputation for telling falsehoods. They consistently tell falsehoods. Congress is the most socially destabilising power today. They separate the various faiths. People are discussing the advancements made by CM Bommai and PM Modi. Nothing has been shown by Congress. With the majority, we will take back control of Karnataka, Tenginkai told ANI.
“What Siddaramaiah has stated should be examined. Who sparked the violence? Global citizens support Prime Minister Modi. Let it be if Siddaramaiah feels terrible. Congressmen are saying this for this reason, he said.
On April 18, Tenginkai submitted his candidature for the position after the party included his name in the third list.
Karnataka will hold Assembly elections on May 10 and the results will be tallied on May 13.
