MUMBAI: The thing that everyone in Maharashtra has been waiting for for the past few days. That day has dawned today. Monsoon has arrived in Maharashtra. Rains have made an appearance in South Maharashtra. Monsoon has entered Maharashtra just two days after monsoon entered Kerala on June 8. Monsoon has reached Ratnagiri in Maharashtra. This information has been given by the Indian Meteorological Department. Compared to every year, the monsoon has come four to five days late this year.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the monsoon has reached Ratnagiri in Maharashtra at present. Monsoon has reached the cities of Shimoga, Hasan and Dharmapuri, Srihari Kota in Karnataka. Looking at the forecast of arrival of monsoon every year, this year monsoon has arrived four to five days late.
Farmers and common citizens of Maharashtra were keeping their eyes on when the monsoon would arrive. Finally monsoon has arrived in the state. Monsoon has entered Maharashtra today i.e. 11th June. Monsoon has reached Ratnagiri in Maharashtra.
The arrival of Monsoon was delayed due to Cyclone Biperjoy in the Arabian Sea. Finally monsoon entered Kerala on 8th June i.e. seven days late. Monsoon enters Kerala on 1st June. After that monsoon arrives till 7th June. Compared to every year, this year due to Biperjoy storm in the Arabian Sea, the arrival of monsoon was delayed.
Farmers are making preparations for Kharif season sowing. Farmers are doing cultivation work for Kharif season sowing. With the arrival of Monsoon in South Maharashtra, the agricultural work will speed up. The farmer, who was shocked by heavy rains and unseasonal rains last year, has expectations from this year’s monsoon. If the monsoon rains are good, the farmers of the state can get huge income from agriculture. Therefore, this year’s monsoon is going to be a savior for the farmers, it is going to happen in the next few days.
