Kolhapur: The Maharashtra Public Service Commission had conducted the examination for around 560 posts of Police Sub-Inspector Cadre in 2020. The result of this examination was declared yesterday and Afrin Mehboob Bijli from Kini in Hatkanangle taluka of Kolhapur district was also selected for the post of police sub-inspector.
Vaishali Narayan Hannurkar from Kowad and Amit Madhukar Shelke from Bambwade have also become PSI and Shivprasad Bhikaji Bhandigare from Pachawade (Bhudargarh) has won the honor of becoming the first sub-inspector of the village.
The exam was conducted in the year 2020 for 560 posts of MPSC Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) cadre. Its merit list has been announced. The result of 65 posts in EWS category has been reserved. The final merit list is likely to be announced in eight days.
Afrin Mehboob Bijli from Kini in Hatkanangle taluka of Kolhapur has also been selected as a police sub-inspector in this examination. Afrin’s primary education was at Kanya Vidyamandir of Zilla Parishad in Kini, while his secondary education was at Kini High School and higher secondary at Vivekananda College in Kolhapur. Later she did her graduation from Karmveer Bhaurao Patil College of Engineering, Satara.
Brought up in an ordinary family, Afrin studied hard and succeeded in the State Public Service Commission examination. She was guided and encouraged by her cousins – Senior Police Inspector Suraj Bijli, father Mehboob Bijli, mother Shireen Bijli. After her election, she was felicitated in a procession at Kini.
Also, Amit Madhukar Shelke from Bambwade was also elected as PSI. His father is a retired ST driver. Shivprasad Bhikaji Bhandigare of Pachavade in Bhudargad taluka has won the honor of becoming the first sub-inspector of the village and all of them are showered with praise.
