A 50-year-old man was detained for reportedly making a bomb threat over the phone to the BMC control room on Thursday morning, according to a police officer.
The call was placed around seven in the morning, and an investigation revealed that the accused committed the deed in a fit of fury after an altercation with his neighbour, the official added.
A team focused on his cell phone’s position to Malvani in Malad west after the police were notified, the man said.
According to the Malvani police station officer, the individual was being detained for criminal intimidation via anonymous contact as well as other crimes under different articles of the Indian Penal Code.
