at the early hours of Saturday, a large fire broke out at a building in Mumbai’s Kurla neighborhood. A total of 50 to 60 persons were saved by the fire department from various levels, and 39 of them were sent to a local hospital. According to reports, the fire started in the electrical ducts on the ground level and quickly spread to the electrical equipment and cables up to the 12th story.
According to the BMC, the fire has been put out. The internet has seen images of the fire. As someone from the surrounding community captured the tragedy, one can see in the footage that has since appeared online how the night sky was covered with a dense black smoke.
The SRA building in Kurla West caught fire late on Friday night, according to the Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), and was given a Level 1 classification. Electrical wire, electrical installations, waste materials, etc. were the only things that caught fire in the electric duct that ran from the ground level to the higher 12th story.
