It has been stated that the suspect has not been collaborating with the police in the inquiry since they detained Railway Protection Force (RPF) policeman Chetan Singh, who is suspected of shooting dead his superior and three other passengers as the Jaipur-Mumbai Central Express train was traveling. The authorities said that instead, he was chanting slogans while being held by the police.
Officials said that when questioned about the specifics, the suspects offered irrelevant responses about the train shooting event.
Chetan Singh was detained by the Government Railway Police for seven days in connection with the incident. He was shown in court on Tuesday in Mumbai’s Borivali, where the police asked for the accused’s 14-day incarceration. However, the offender was given seven days of police imprisonment by the court.
According to the accused’s attorney, he went more than 24 hours without eating following the event.
“My client hasn’t broken any laws. He said that what he did was legal and was done with a service pistol. After more than 24 hours without food, the court ordered police to promptly provide Chetan with nourishment. According to media sources, police will look into whether Chetan had a mental illness.
