The government oil firms revealed their retail pricing for gasoline and diesel on Monday morning, and they are now lower. The people of Bihar will have to deal with the shock of pricey oil even if it has become less expensive in Uttar Pradesh. Nonetheless, the cost of oil remains unchanged in major cities like Mumbai and Delhi until now.
In the Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh, government oil firms report that the price of gasoline decreased by 14 paise to Rs 96.44 per litre this morning, while the price of diesel was 13 paise lower at Rs 89.62 per litre. The price of gasoline has decreased by 32 paise to Rs 96.42 per litre in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, while the price of diesel has decreased by 31 paise to Rs 89.62 per litre. However, in Patna, the capital of Bihar, the price of gasoline has climbed by 32 paise to Rs 107.74 per litre, while the price of diesel has increased by 30 paise to Rs 94.51 per litre.
Right now, a litre of petrol costs Rs 96.72 in Delhi, while a litre of diesel costs Rs 89.62. In contrast, a liter of diesel costs Rs 94.27 and a litre of petrol costs Rs 106.31 in Mumbai. In Kolkata, a liter of petrol costs Rs 106.03, while a litre of diesel costs Rs 92.76. However, in Chennai, a liter of diesel is sold for Rs 94.24 and a gallon of petrol for Rs 102.63.
The pricing of gasoline and diesel in India are set by oil marketing companies (OMCs) such Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum. Every day, this is carried out, and rates are established based on global crude oil prices.
