Sonia Gandhi, the former head of the Congress, will speak at her first electoral rally for the Karnataka Assembly elections on May 10 on Saturday in Hubballi.
Former Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar is running for Congress in Hubballi-Dharwad Central after the BJP refused to give him a ticket to run in the elections.
Mahesh Tenginkai is the candidate for the BJP in this area. The governing BJP and the Congress, who are supporting their candidates with all their might, have turned the duel between Shettar and Tenginkai into a kind of prestigious contest.
“On May 6, Sonia Gandhi is scheduled to arrive at approximately 12.30 pm and depart from there after speaking at an election rally at around 3.30 pm. Party insiders confirmed to PTI on Thursday that this is her final public appearance.
Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and AICC President M. Mallikarjun Kharge, who is from the State, have been actively campaigning in Karnataka, where the party is attempting to unseat the BJP.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will conduct a 36.6-kilometer road show in Bengaluru on Saturday. The 17 Assembly districts in the city will be visited by the road show.
According to BJP officials, the Prime Minister will go 10.1 kilometres from 11 am to 1 pm and 26.5 miles from 4 pm to 10 pm.
The last day for campaigning is May 8 and the election results are announced on May 13.
