On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that a statewide initiative called ‘Mera Yuva Bharat’ would be introduced on October 31, the anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth, to provide young people with a chance to actively participate in a range of nation-building activities.
Modi said during his Mann Ki Baat radio show that the young should register on MYBharat.Gov.in as the ‘Mera Yuva Bharat’ website would also be established.
“MYBharat will provide India’s young a chance to actively participate in a range of nation-building activities. The prime minister said, “This is a unique effort of integrating India’s youth power in building a developed India.”
In addition, he paid respects to the late former prime minister Indira Gandhi and mentioned that October 31 is her death anniversary.
Modi reaffirmed in his speech how important it is to be “vocal for local.”
“Like every time, this time too, during festivals, our priority should be ‘Vocal for Local’,” he said.
“I want to reiterate my request that wherever you go on tourism or pilgrimage buy products made by local artisans,” he said.
Modi said that Khadi had unprecedented sales on Gandhi Jayanti.
