On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that without the active involvement of government personnel, India’s fast progress would not have been possible. Speaking at the 16th Civil Services Day, he said that during the last nine years, India’s expectations from the world community have increased astronomically.
India’s moment has come, according to international organisations and authorities, he said. “In such a situation, the Indian bureaucracy has no time to spend. I make a plea to each and every bureaucracy the nation has trusted, whether they work for the state or the federal government. It’s provided you with an opportunity. Maintain that faith in your efforts, the prime minister said.
“Your every decision should be in the national interest,” Modi instructed the employees. You may have to make a choice for a person or an organisation, he continued, but you should consider how your choice would help the nation.
