Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared on Thursday, March 7, that this decade is about creating India. He predicted that India’s GDP would rank third in the world at the start of the next ten years while attending the Republic TV Summit. According to PM Modi, India is quickly becoming a global leader. He enumerated the projects completed in the previous 75 days and stated that more than Rs 9 lakh crore worth of work had been inaugurated during that time, which is more than many countries’ whole annual budget.
“A few years ago, I said that the coming decade belongs to India,” Prime Minister Modi remarked. “But some people said that leaders always make such statements.” However, the entire globe now claims that India is the rightful owner of this decade. I’m glad you’ve taken it a step further and sparked a conversation about “India: The Next Decade.” The most significant decade for India since independence has been this one. This is the proper time, as I declared from the Red Fort.
“This decade is the decade that strengthens the foundation of building a capable, strong, and developed India,” declared the prime minister. These goals, which the people of India once thought were unachievable, are to be fulfilled in this decade. Breaking beyond the mental barrier is crucial. India is the exclusive owner of its potential and its aspirations.
In the next ten years, India’s economy will rank third around the globe.
“We will see India becoming the third largest economy in the world before the next decade begins,” declared Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Indians will have access to roads, internet, gas, power, water and houses before the new decade starts. They will have all the necessities. In India, this decade will see the construction of high-speed railroads and world-class motorways. India will receive its first bullet train this decade. Large Indian cities would have been linked to the “NaMo Bharat” network during that same decade. India’s high-speed connectivity, mobility, and prosperity will all boom this decade.
India is the world’s lighthouse of faith.
“Friends, you also know that this is a time of global uncertainty,” Prime Minister Modi remarked. Since World War II, this appears to be the most turbulent period. Its effects are being felt everywhere throughout the world. Around the globe, anti-incumbency is a problem for many governments. India, a thriving democracy, continues to be a source of hope and trust. These circumstances arise during a period of significant national reform. In addition to meeting the nation’s needs, we also realised its hopes.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi went on to describe the various development projects carried out in the nation, adding, “We also recovered our lost time to build a developed India.” You may observe development activities taking place anywhere in the nation that is 25 km in either direction these days. Positive changes are already occurring in every industry today. I have inaugurated and laid the foundation for projects worth Rs 9 lakh crore in just 75 days. More than $110 billion is involved. on a span of 75 days, we have invested more on modern infrastructure than many countries across the world have in a year.
75-day report card:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recapped the list of projects finished or opened in the last 75 days, saying, “7 new AIIMS have been inaugurated in the country in the last 75 days.” Six National Research Labs, together with four medical and nursing colleges, have been opened. Three IIMs, ten IITs, five NITs, and related facilities have all placed the cornerstones of their permanent campuses or dedicated them to the country. Three IIITs, two ICARs, and ten Central Institutes have had their foundation stones placed or dedicated in honour of the country. Space infrastructure projects worth Rs 1800 crore have been launched.
“54 power projects were either inaugurated or had their foundation stone laid in these 75 days,” he continued. The Kakrapar Nuclear Power Plant has dedicated two of its new reactors to the country. At Kalpakkam, the process of “core loading” the national fast breeder reactor has begun. Furthermore, this is a hugely groundbreaking work. A 1600 MW thermal power facility in Telangana has been officially opened. In Jharkhand, a 1300 MW thermal power plant has been officially opened. In Uttar Pradesh, the cornerstone for a 1600 MW thermal power plant has been laid. In Uttar Pradesh, the cornerstone for a 300 MW solar power facility has also been laid. The Ultra Mega Renewable Park’s foundation stone was also placed in Uttar Pradesh around that same time frame. In Himachal Pradesh, the hydropower project’s foundation stone has been placed. Tamil Nadu saw the launch of the nation’s first green hydrogen fuel cell vessel. The transmission line from UP to Simbhaoli in Meerut has been opened. In Koppal, Karnataka, the Wind Energy Zone has opened transmission lines.
“In these 75 days, India’s longest cable-based bridge has been inaugurated,” PM Modi continued. The underwater optical cable project up to Lakshadweep is finished and dedicated to the country. The nation’s over 500 railway stations are beginning to be modernised. There are 33 newly flagged trains. Over 1500 roads, over bridges, and subway constructions were started. In four cities across the nation, seven metro-related projects have been launched. The nation’s first underwater metro station is located in Kolkata. Thirty projects valued at Rs 10,000 crore have had their foundation stones set. The greatest storage programme for farmers in the world began in the previous seventy-five days. The process of computerising 18,000 cooperatives is now complete. The amount transferred to farmers’ bank accounts exceeds Rs 21,000 crore.
“Let me remind you that these are the projects I have been involved in,” he added, capping the list of tasks completed in the previous seventy-five days. And all I have discussed is setting the cornerstone and dedicating it to the country. And a tonne more. I won’t divulge it to you. If I carry on talking, it will be morning in addition to the list of other ministers in my cabinet and the other projects of previous BJP-NDA regimes.
PM Modi emphasised the government’s pace, saying, “Our administration had talked about installing solar panels under PM Surya Yojana in the budget. It took only four weeks to get cabinet approval. Additionally, surveys have begun. The nation’s citizens are currently aware of the scope and speed of our government. The task that has to be done will stay unfinished if you begin to focus on the negative campaign. Although I’ve been given a 75-day report card, I’m also implementing a 25-year plan. Every moment is valuable.”
The opposition is limited to slogans and has produced little work.
“We are taking our work to the public in this election atmosphere,” Prime Minister Modi declared. Conversely, the opposition has neither a problem nor a remedy. This is a result of these parties’ seven decades of solely using slogans to win elections. They did not really “remove poverty,” despite their constant preaching about it. People have seen problems solved by this government rather than just catchphrases at the same time.
