The Request for Quotation for Official Partner Rights for Board Events has been made public by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). In a statement released on Friday, the Indian Cricket Board requested bids from organizations interested in obtaining the partner rights for BCCI Events.
The RFQ document will be made accessible to the entities upon receipt of payment of a non-refundable charge of INR 100,000, according to the board’s explanation of the procedure.
“The “Request for Quotation” (“RFQ”) document, which will be made available upon receipt of payment of a non-refundable fee of INR 1,00,000 (Indian Rupees One Lakh Only) plus any applicable Goods and Services Tax, contains the specific terms and conditions governing the tender process, including eligibility requirements, the procedure for submitting bids, rights and obligations, etc. The steps to get the RFQ papers are indicated in this notice’s Annexure A. The RFQ will be on sale until September 13, 2023, according to the BCCI’s release.
At any time and without giving a reason, the BCCI maintains the right to halt or alter the bidding procedure.
The BCCI has published an Invitation to Tender (“ITT”) for Media Rights to BCCI International Matches and Domestic Matches for the period of September 2023 to March 2028. On August 31, 2023, an e-auction was held as part of the procedure to choose the winning bidder for the Media Rights. All qualified bidders were invited to participate.
The Media Rights were purchased by Viacom 18 Media Private Limited for a total of INR 5,963 crores between September 2023 and March 2028, pending the signing of final documents, the fulfillment of BCCI requirements, and other conditions included in the ITT.
25 Tests, 27 ODIs, and 36 T20Is are among the 88 international matches that India will play, with the average match costing around Rs 67.76 crore. Compared to the Rs 60 crore per match value from the previous season, this is around Rs 7.76 crore higher.
With the start of India’s three-match home series against Australia on September 22 and running until March 31, 2028, the rights will go into force.
