In order to assess the festival preparations, Delhi Revenue Minister Atishi visited the Chhath ghats in ITO and West Vinod Nagar on Friday.
She said that the administration will make sure that the arrangements are flawless.
She noted that a sizable population of individuals from the “Purvanchal” area reside in Delhi and contribute to the city’s social, economic, and cultural development.
For everyone of them, the celebration of Chhath has great significance. In this respect, the Arvind Kejriwal administration has been putting on Chhath Mahaparv in a big way across Delhi for the last eight years,” the spokesperson said.
There won’t be any issues with Delhi’s Chhath preparations, according to Atishi. According to CM Kejriwal’s orders, all MLAs and departments are present at ground zero, she said.
According to Atishi, the Kejriwal administration has set up more than 1,000 ghats around the city so that residents may enjoy the celebration close to home.
“On these ghats, the Delhi government is setting up everything, including pond construction, tents, lighting, sanitation, security, and more. In addition, the Maithili-Bhojpuri Academy will host cultural events in several ghats.
Our goal is to make sure that our Purvanchali brothers and sisters in Delhi may joyfully, peacefully, and enthusiastically enjoy the significant Chhath festival,” the spokesperson said.
She gave authorities instructions to hurry and finish the ghat preparations during the inspection.
November 17 marked the start of the four-day celebration, during which followers fast and give ‘arghya’ to the Sun God on the last two days.
