According to the company’s worldwide head for mobile business, Samsung would invest in putting up smart manufacturing capabilities at its biggest mobile phone facility in Noida to increase production’s competitiveness.
In answer to a PTI inquiry on the business’s investment strategy in India, T M Roh, President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics, said that the company will keep investing in research and development facilities in the nation.
“To introduce the optimised and/or smart factory to the Noida facilities, we will increase our investment. We’ll keep putting money into that area. I think that our investment in a smart plant will increase production’s competitiveness “said Roh.
Noida is home to Samsung’s largest manufacturing site. The business began producing its high-end Galaxy S23 series in India this year.
“Here, we have the largest research and development facility. We will keep investing in this sector for the new invention “said Roh.
Almost 10,000 individuals work for Samsung at its R&D facilities across India, with close to 3,500 of them based at its Bangalore facility.
