In the last 48 hours, the Uttar Pradesh Police have stepped up their attempts to find Shaista Parveen, the wife of murdered gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed. The police are searching Shaista’s potential hiding places, including the residences of her family in various areas of Prayagraj and the nearby Kaushambi districts.
To find the runaway heir to Atiq’s wealth, authorities raided many locations in Kaushambi on Wednesday. Drones were even deployed in some of the operations.
“For the last two days, raids have been carried out to find Shaista Parveen, the mobster Atiq Ahmed’s wife. After learning that certain criminals were hiding in the Ganga foothills, a search operation was carried out. The procedure took roughly two hours. Throughout the operation, a drone camera was also employed. Unfortunately, the operation was a failure today, according to Samar Bahadur, ASP, Kaushambi.
Inquiries concerning her whereabouts are also being made of some of Atiq and Shaista’s close relatives.
After her husband’s burial, there were rumors that Shaista, who is now the empress of Atiq’s realm, would turn herself in to the police. Yet, she continues to elude capture.
Police are having trouble finding Shaista since she is grieving the loss of her spouse and won’t allow anybody to meet her at this time.
