Sharad Pawar has said in his autobiography that Devendra Fadnavis was in favor of reconciliation and he also went to Matoshree. Sharad Pawar has written many big things in his autobiography not only about Devendra Fadnavis but also about Uddhav Thackeray, his nephew Ajit Pawar, Shiv Sena. Now Sharad Pawar’s autobiography has also come in headlines.
According to an article published on a website, Sharad Pawar wrote in his autobiography, “The MVA was the biggest challenge for the BJP in the entire country and we had a premonition that they would try to destabilize our government. But we had no idea that after Uddhav became the chief minister, there would be a rebellion from within the Shiv Sena.”
Pawar is referring to the rebellion by a faction of Sena leaders led by current Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, which led to the fall of the MVA government last year and the Shinde faction forming a government with the support of the BJP. The Shinde faction has been allotted the Shiv Sena party name and the original bow and arrow symbol by the Election Commission. Sharad Pawar has written about Uddhav Thackeray’s tenure as Chief Minister. He has also reiterated that he was not aware of nephew Ajit Pawar’s decision to join hands with BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis in 2019.
On his nephew and NCP leader Ajit Pawar’s decision to support Fadnavis in 2019, he writes, “When I got a call on 23 Nov 2019 that Ajit and some NCP MLAs are at Raj Bhavan taking oath with Ajit Fadnavis So I was shocked.”
