Sharad Pawar, who has influenced the politics of Maharashtra and the country, has resigned from the post of President of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) he formed. This decision of Pawar has increased the stir in the politics of Maharashtra. At the same time, with this decision of Pawar, along with Congress and Shiv Sena (UBT), the opposition BJP is also in trouble. The first reaction of Maharashtra’s Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis towards BJP has come to the fore.
Devendra Fadnavis said, “Pawar saheb’s decision is an internal matter of NCP. It is his personal decision. He is a senior leader and he has taken some decision. Many issues are being discussed within his party, so it will not be right for us to react. We will monitor the situation and react after a day or two.”
After Sharad Pawar’s resignation from the post of president, speculations have started whether his nephew Ajit Pawar or his daughter Supriya Sule will be the next president of the party. At the same time, Ajit Pawar is in headlines in the politics of Maharashtra for the last few days. Speculations are rife that Ajit Pawar will join BJP and become the Chief Minister of the state. It is being told that along with Ajit Pawar, many big leaders of NCP are also involved in this campaign.
It has also been claimed that Ajit Pawar has also got the signatures of more than 40 MLAs. Since, Sharad Pawar is well aware that Ajit Pawar can split the party in Maharashtra, as he is the leader of the Legislature Party and has good hold among the MLAs. In such a situation, this could also be a major reason for Sharad Pawar’s resignation from the post of President. With this Sharad Pawar will be able to save the party from disintegration.
It can also be assumed that after the resignation of Sharad Pawar, Ajit Pawar became the president of the party. After Pawar’s resignation, Ajit Pawar has also expressed his wish somewhere, because today except Ajit Pawar, all other leaders appealed to Sharad Pawar to withdraw his resignation. On withdrawing the resignation, Ajit Pawar said that the new president will work, but he will work only under the guidance of Pawar Saheb.
