The world’s top airports, Changi Airport in Singapore and Hamad International Airport in Doha, have recently claimed the title of the best airport in the world.
This time, Singapore, the 12-time winner, finished third in the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2024, behind Doha. Tokyo’s Haneda and Narita airports came in fourth and fifth place on the ranking, respectively, while Seoul Incheon was awarded the most family-friendly airport for 2024. The Hong Kong airport rose 22 spots to rank 11th and was the only notable addition to the list; US airports were conspicuously absent from the top. The US city with the highest ranking, Seattle-Tacoma, fell six spots to 24.
“This year, HIA celebrates its milestone 10th year of operations, and we are truly honoured that passengers have voted us Best Airport in the World for a third time,” stated Badr Al Meer, chief executive officer of Qatar Airways Group.
