Dharashiv: Counting of gold and silver in the treasury of Tuljabhavani Devi, the Kulswamini mother of Maharashtra, has been going on for the last two days. This safe has been opened after almost 15 years. While this counting is going on, it has come to light that devotees have donated 207 kg of gold to Mother Tuljabhavani. Also 354 diamonds have been found in the vault. The price of this 207 kg of gold is approximately Rs 65 crore. So the cost of 354 diamonds is approximately 20 lakh rupees. This is the first time that such a large amount of diamonds have been donated to the goddess. The amount of donated silver is yet to be calculated. Counting of gold and silver in Tuljabhavani temple will be going on every day from 10 am to 6 pm. Countdown will continue for the next 25 days.
The amount of gold, silver, diamonds and precious ornaments donated to Tulja Bhawani from 2009 till date has not been counted.
