Municipal Corporation has taken action against the unauthorized office ” shakha” of Uddhav Thackeray Group in Mumbai. Unauthorized construction was done by the Shiv Sena Thackeray group in an open space in the eastern part of Bandra. That construction is being demolished today by the Mumbai Municipal Corporation. Boards were put up there by the Thackeray group for many days without taking any permission, besides an office was set up there. Mumbai Municipal Corporation has taken action on it today.
An unauthorized office was built by the Thackeray group on a vacant lot outside Bandra East Railway Station. Some hoardings were also put up. The action was taken today in the same manner as the Mumbai Municipal Corporation takes decisive action. At this time, office bearers and activists of the Thackeray group were opposing it. But during this construction, prior permission from Mumbai Municipal Corporation was not taken from the Thackeray group. Also, BMC was not asked. That is why officials and media were told by Mumbai Municipal Corporation that unauthorized constructions are being demolished.
The BMC said that the municipal corporation did not have any official documents or records of this office. There was a tense atmosphere for some time while the demolition was going on. The anti-encroachment team of Mumbai Municipal Corporation is taking this action under police arrangements.
