US President Joe Biden fell on stage while attending the US Air Force Academy ceremony on Thursday (June 1). His steps faltered and 80-year-old Biden fell. He was assisted by an Air Force officer as well as two members of his US Secret Service detail.
Biden was greeting graduates with salutes and handshakes in front of a stage in Colorado and jogged back to his seat after the fall. The incident took place during the graduation ceremony of the US Air Force in Colorado. Biden was on his way to his seat after giving the last degree that his foot fell on a sandbag. He staggered and fell on his face. The soldiers present there handled the US President. However, Joe Biden was not hurt.
Immediately after the fall, Joe Biden pointed to something that caused him to fall. A small black sandbag was placed on the stage, which President Biden may have tripped over.
Returning to the White House on Thursday evening, the president smiled and told reporters during a walk through the residence, “I fell because of sandbags.” Two small black sandbags were placed on the stage to support the teleprompter used by Biden and other speakers at the graduation ceremony.
The video of the incident is going viral on social media in which Biden can be seen falling and then walking without any help. He smiles and walks towards his car. The White House said in a statement that the President is fine. The US President’s personal physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, said after his examination in February that Biden is a healthy and agile 80-year-old man, who is perfect for efficiently carrying out the responsibilities of the presidency.
Even before this, US President Biden has fallen in public places. In February 2022, he stumbled and fell while climbing the stairs while boarding Air Force One in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. The video of this incident also came to the fore. In November 2020, Biden suffered a hairline fracture in his right leg. Political rivals have been raising questions about his age and whether Biden is healthy enough to hold the country’s top post.
