Users won’t need to leave the WhatsApp app in order to publish their status on Facebook stories thanks to a new feature that WhatsApp is developing.
According to WABetaInfo, users could previously submit their status updates on Facebook stories, but it required a number of processes that took time and effort. Users may, however, be able to concurrently publish to Facebook stories using the new functionality, and if the option is set, it will be automated.
The “Status Privacy” feature on WhatsApp now includes a new option that enables users to publish their status updates across all of their accounts, including their Facebook account, according to WABetaInfo. Users must explicitly turn on the Facebook sharing option since it will not be activated by default.
For individuals who routinely publish updates on Facebook and WhatsApp, having this option open to all users might save a lot of time.
In related news, WhatsApp is now working on a function dubbed “audio chats” that will be included in discussions in a future update to the program. To make this easier, a new waveform symbol will be included in the conversation header. Users will also see a red button that they may use to stop current calls.
