The Versova-Dahisar Sea Link, a high-speed corridor connecting north and south Mumbai, is the BMC’s most expensive project and is expected to shortly be put up for bid. The second phase of the Mumbai Coastal Road Project (MCRP) is a 22.3-km-long mega road project with four lanes on each side that is estimated to cost roughly Rs 35,112 crore.
According to sources familiar with the situation, the huge project’s layout is finished, and the bid document will probably be released within the next week.
The projected Dahisar-Mira Road link road would be linked to the link road at Dahisar, and as a result, Mira Road will be connected to Nariman Point, Mumbai’s southernmost district.
There will be six phases to the Versova-Dahisar Link Road project, including elevated highways, cable-stayed bridges, and tunnels.According to a report by Mid Day, BMC would issue bids in six stages to ensure a seamless execution.
According to reports, the project must be finished within four years after the contractor’s hiring.
Project for the Versova-Dahisar Link Road
According to rumors, a 4.5 km long elevated road, bridge, and interchange would be built starting from Versova’s Nana Nani Park to Bangur Nagar in Goregaon during the first phase of the project. The construction of this will run around R6,157 crore.
Additionally, a 4.46 km-long bridge to the Goregaon-Mulund Link Road and a 1.66 km-long elevated road from Bangurnagar to Mind Space in Malad would be built at a cost of Rs 5,308 crore each.
The connector route will reportedly include a tunnel connecting Mind Space and Charkop.
The 3.90 km long northbound tunnel will cost Rs 5,904 crore, while the 3.90 km long southbound tunnel would cost Rs 6,032 crore to construct.The municipal organization will probably issue different contractors with bids for each of these tunnels.
Next, a 3.78 km length between Charkop and Gorai with an elevated road, bridge, and interchange would be built at a cost of Rs 6,085 crore.
